Enough firewood available on land to last a life-time with proper management. Hydro and telephone at the road, disconnected from the house at the moment. Drilled well 250 ft deep, needs to be re-washed and some work to winterize. The original barn had burnt, a new barn 26' x 48' was built in 2001 on the same site. There are open concept stalls now. There once were standing stalls,. probably dairy-type cattle stalls. Could shift them into long stalls (horse tie-up stalls) by moving manger. It would be perfect for sheep or goats or rabbits. Could commute to North Bay; Sports : skidoo (snowmobile) trails nearby Owners cut some trees for Christmas trees and sold them in Toronto. Some of the nearby farmers hunt moose and bear and butcher them for meat as well as farm animals. In some years they allow a bear hunt and some years they don't. CLIMATE: The winters can get quite cold, sometimes -30º and -40º, but it doesn't stay that cold for very long. Being able to speak French is a great advantage.
